We rarely take the time to thank our body, which carries the spirit

Hand meditation
Find somewhere comfortable to relax, take a deep breath, close your
eyes and allow your whole body to let go...
Imagine in your mind, your hands.
Their shape and colour.
And where they are relaxing right now.
Notice how they feel at this moment - heavy or light, tingly or
maybe you can't feel them at all.
Now think of all the things your hands have done for you.
The excitement of writing your name for the first time or tieing
your shoelaces.
Think of the parcels they've carried, the tears they’ve wiped, the
comfort they have given.
There is majesty in the hands of a conductor, a teacher, a nurse who
cares, the marking of the cross or the lifting of the torah. There is
joy in the applause of a grateful audience, tenderness in the hands
of a lover and love in the hands of a new parent.
Place a hand over your heart, and feel your heartbeat, let it move
into your hand - and know that every time you offer your hand to
another, you are in fact offering your heart.
Think of all the hands that have left their heartprints on you, and
where you have left yours.
Give grateful thanks for the handprints and heartprints you have given
and are yet still to give.

As you bring your fingertips together, feel the energy flow from one
to the other and allow your grateful thanks to flow through your body
connecting in the circle of energy that is all there is.
Honour Your Essence
Find somewhere quiet and comfortable to sit. Take a deep breath and
close your eyes on the outbreath. Allow your whole body to let go and
completely relax.
Follow your breath to the count of 20, and then journey inside to find
your heartbeat. And whether you find it in your heart, the base of
your throat or in the pulse of your wrist feel it, listen to it,
recognise it as the centre of your life on this planet at this time.
Give grateful thanks to your heart for allowing you to thrive and
be here on this planet at this time, to love and be loved, and to
spread your light so others can find their way.
Recognise and honour the pulse of energy, which connects you to the
rhythm of the planet, and allow yourself to become at one with this
rhythm.
Allow and give thanks.
